Policy Alternatives for Childcare Credit in National Pension

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to suggest policy alternatives for childcare credit in National Pension which strengthens current childbirth credit. In order to suggest policy alternatives for childcare credit, first of all, definition and role of credit in pension system are examined and issues of current childbirth credit in National Pension are analysed. Then, care credit in other countries are compared. That is, in order to get policy implication for care credit from other countries, care credit in Germany, Franc, UK, and Japan is examined. Based on the above policy implication, the contribution record of Korean women in National Pension is analysed and policy alternatives for childcare credit are proposed.
